Goose Hunt and Wild Game Lunch with Tim Grounds

 We had just returned from our South Dakota duck and pheasant hunting season, when we were invited to the 1st annual Goose Hunt and Wild Game Lunch with guest speaker Tim Grounds.  It was held at the Church of God, Easton, MD., Jan 10, 2009.  The event was put together by Billy Hughes and included World Champion goose callers Tim Grounds, Mitch Hughes, John Taylor and Justin Culver, as well as several other experienced callers and guides.  I contacted Billy Hughes to see how Windy Hill Outfitters could help.  He needed help taking goose hunting parties.  I was very excited to be a part of something this huge.  The group we had was 2 fathers and their sons, Wes Wdzielzny and son Ted from Essex, MD, and Harold Schofield, Jr. and son Dan from Baltimore, MD.  It's always a special hunt when fathers and sons get together, no matter how old or where they're from.  They were a great group who really seemed to have enjoyed themselves tremendously.  It was a little work, but guides Mark Belote and Dave Taylor got the birds in close enough to walk away with a limit.  We then went back to the Church of God and listened to Tim Grounds' message on the way he changed his life.  What a powerful message! The whole event turned out to be a huge success.  It's amazing how goose hunting can bring different people from all walks of life together for a good cause!
